In 1987 I developed the original Dental Assisting School business for dentists. Over the years, it has fully funded my retirement and allowed me to retire at age 52. My Dental Assisting school here in Atlanta just graduated its Fall class. The total tuition COLLECTED from this 10 week, Saturday only class was $57,000. I taught just 3 of the 10 days. If you are practicing full-time, you don't have to teach at all if you don't want to. The overhead for operating this program is quite low. I am now semi-retired, thanks in large part to this teaching program which I've operated continuously since its inception. I am 100% debt-free and have a sizable nest egg set aside as well.
